Headquartered in North Charleston, South Carolina, our facility is anchored by a 10,000-square-foot machine shop staffed by a team of professional and technical experts who are available 24 hours a day.
A TRADITION CONTINUES...
Bill Totten began MI-TECH, Inc. in 1985 after 10 years as a field supervisor with General Electric. During those years, Bill identified a need for efficient technical consulting services within the marine and industrial sector. Seizing the opportunity to serve customers better and faster through a less bureaucratic route, Bill formed MI-TECH, Inc.
As business grew, so did the company. Busy technical representatives soon found that waiting on parts and supplies kept repairs - and customers - waiting. The solution: MI-TECH, Inc. added onsite manufacturing of new parts to its thriving business.
In 1987, MI-TECH, Inc. opened its current machine shop facility in North Charleston, South Carolina. Today, the company benefits from the diversified skills and experience of more than 50 employees.
Our goal from the beginning has been to cut weighty procedures and costs without sacrificing quality and service. We remain committed to those ideals: we have grown and flourished, yet our tradition of cutting costs by nearly half continues.
Superior staff, facilities and management are key.
The proof of our success: we have worked on hundreds of turbines, pumps, rotating and reciprocating equipment and reduction gears for customers throughout the U.S. and the world, including Westvaco, Amoco, Antigua Power, and the Egyptian Government.
